Harmony in Colours
The Forum
11:00 – 17:00
Holi is the Hindu festival of colours. It marks the victory of good over evil.  Harmony day is a celebration of our diversity. It is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for all.  Harmony day, celebrated around the same time as Holi, ties in with the Hindu values of equality and love for all living things. The Hindu festival of Holi emphasises that each and every colour is beautiful. Those who have played Holi before would know that when everyone is covered in colour, there is no differentiation of colour, religion, culture, background, age or gender: all are equal. With this vision, we name our event Harmony in Colours.  Harmony in Colours brings to you an afternoon of organic colours, water balloons, traditional vegetarian food, singing and dancing. You will also find various stalls such as an ISKCON (International Society of Krishna Consciousness) stall and Canning Council Climate Change stall. It is a smoke and alcohol-free event open to people of all culture and religion.  This event is organised in partnership with the City of Canning Council, ISKCON, Hindu Council of Australia and Swayoveda.  Entry to the event is FREE however an Entertainment Voucher which includes food, drinks and a packet of colours, needs to be purchased for those who attend. To ensure the health and safety of all, no outside food, drinks and colours will be permitted.  For more details on the event, please visit our FAQs page.  To contact us, please email curtinhinduclub@gmail.com. Alternatively reach out to us on our instagram page @curtin_hindu_club.
